Tina Christie N.D.
Helping
others through naturopathic medicine is Dr. Christie's great passion.
She was accepted immediately out of her undergraduate program at the
University of Toronto (Bachelor of Science, Biology/Chemistry) into
the naturopathic program at CCNM and graduated in 2001 at the top of
her class.
Despite what is being presented, Dr. Christie has an ability to zero
in on the problem at hand. Being a natural teacher, she is able to take
large amounts of information and distil it down to something people
can understand. Her patients get a health education as well as treatment.
Dr. Christie brings her strong scientific background into her clinic
in a very usable, understandable way and is well respected for her scientific
knowledge amongst her peers. Far from using a rigid, science-only approach,
Dr. Christie is also a sought-after clinician for her talents in energetic
medicine due to further education in Mind/Body Medicine, Body Talk,
Emotional Freedom Technique and Bowen Technique.
When patients come to Dr. Christie’s office, they know they will
be well taken care of in the compassionate hands of someone who has
a real passion for what they do.
“It is my goal to make my patients feel
listened to, understood, supported and cared about. In a time where
so many of us feel disconnected from others and from ourselves, I
feel this is crucial. I challenge my patients to make the changes
they need to make in their life, so they can have more vitality and
joy and ease.
While each patient that comes to my office has
their individual goals and challenges, my baseline goals for each
patient are that they are health and vital so they bounce out of bed
in the morning and have the energy to move through their day with
ease. That they come home and have energy left over for their kids,
their spouse/partner and for themselves. To have more energy to spend
time and play with their kids and more energy to put into their relationship
with their spouse/partner.
To have a digestive system that runs like a well-oiled
machine – easy and regular. To have a sharp, clear mind from
which creativity and humour flow naturally. To have the energy to
put into their passion in life – whether that’s their
job, volunteer work, their family, travel, friends or all of the above.
To end the confusion about which foods are healthy
and which are not – to learn to effortlessly make healthy food
choices. To experience and know how delicious healthy food can be.”
